Im Matthew Savage, A student at Texas State University of San Marcos, Texas. Im emotionally disturbed, and academically distracted, due to the degrading of myself and fellow black class mates. I’m not just writing out of emotion, but I truly feel that all man are created equal, and it’s not being displayed by the San Marcos Police Department. Their are blatant examples of police brutally, and excessive force by the department. Their has been a incident of massive mase spraying on the campus of a crowd of black Kappa Alpha students, unprovoked tazing excessive traffic stops and most important, blatant racial profiling of minority students through ticketing, and police brutality. All I am asking for is for my constitution rights to be displayed. Students are being over aggressively arrested and detained for minor fractions, when they oppose authority, not using profane language in the guide lines of civil rights. We are then accused of trying to “infuse riots”, and “interfering”! Please, if nothing else, respond to my message. These injustice acts must be addressed immediately!!! Please Help in any way possible. I have alot of family in williamson county that has been railroaded like they live in a 3 world county… i have a family member that just got offered 25 years after he recived a domestic violence charge while on probation for his farther sellin crack to an undercover while he was their. his farther my uncle got life for sellin 500 dollars worth of crack. every one knows how williamson county handels their crimes, but no one has stepped in and made a difference. everyone i know they make them plea guilty and take 20 years or they go to trial and get 50 years. can you please help before they send my family away for good.

Pierre Abernathy, San Antonio, TX
The following is a synopsis of statements, documents, video, and firsthand information related to the San Antonio Police Department involved killing of Pierre Abernathy. This synopsis does not reflect the views, opinions, or influence of the author. Any inquires or questions should be directed to the family’s council.
Witnesses, family, & video saw/show more than 15 SAPD officers, 2 K-9 dogs, & several tasers were utilized to beat the deceased to death. This appears more like a ‘sanctioned hit’ not an attempted arrest for an alleged traffic infraction. Let’s see, the deceased was unarmed, mentally ill, had been beaten severely by SAPD 2 times in less than 6 months – one resulting in a 4 month coma. Injuries from both included: broken bones, stroke, kidney failure, brain injury & brain surgery, etc…. Pierre had a civil suit ongoing with SAPD.
I would not have stopped for SAPD either after the previous beatings. Two officers, who beat him, regularly would pull him over and threaten him. Pierre was so afraid of SAPD; he would urinate on himself when he saw a SAPD officer.
On the early morning of August 4, 2011, Pierre was going to pick up his fiancé from work and encountered SAPD. Pierre tried to reach several family members on the phone to explain what was happening. He finally reached his uncle on the phone, explained, “There are 3 SAPD police cars following me without their emergency lights & sirens on!!” Pierre was repeating to his uncle, “They’re gonna kill me, they’re gonna kill me!!” The uncle tried to comfort Pierre and encourage him to pull over, get out of the car, & get on the ground. Pierre did what he thought was safest; he drove to his mother’s house (a safe place). He was brutally attacked before he could get out of his vehicle as evidenced by the amount of blood inside the vehicle. Pierre was on the phone with a family member the entire time–saying “they are going to kill me!” His mother, family, and a dozen neighbors watched as Pierre was murdered in his mother’s front yard-beaten to death, not in the rear of a squad car as stated by SAPD. The entire time while out of his vehicle he was being savagely beaten, chased around the front yards of mother and neighbors, tased, and bitten/mauled by the K-9(s); while in the fetal position, he yelled for help “HELP, HELP, they are going to kill me!”
3 officers were hurt & received medical attention, while the victim died from the wounds he sustained in this vicious attack-forced to wait for medical attention after the injured officers. Too late…as they knew. Witnesses say “the officer’s knuckles, hands, & wrist were hurt from beating the victim.”
Pierre Abernathy lay motionless as the loud thuds, of police fists and batons beat Pierre’s near lifeless body, filled the air.
The officers were overheard by listeners; Bragging and boasting as they yelled to and from one to another as they egged each other on, over heard laughing and making derogatory remarks before, during and after the beating.
Facts
Pierre was murdered in front of mother’s residence by San Antonio Police on the morning of August 4, 2011.
Was previously beaten by SAPD 2 times in last 6 months
3rd beating was premeditated by SAPD evidenced by history with Pierre. SAPD had 3 cars waiting at the residence where 2nd beating took place; SAPD thought this was Pierre’s destination. A Hispanic Male witness followed Pierre & 3 police cars to his mother’s home (safe place). SAPD did not turn on lights or sirens. Witnesses say Pierre’s car never exceeded 30 mph.
There were multiple witnesses: the 15-25 police officers who participated, multiple neighbors, the Hispanic male who followed the initial cars to the crime scene, the mother, and the brother.
The beating was so severe; Pierre had been tased 18 or more times by the SAPD, Police K-9 dogs mauled him and chewed off multiple fingers which were discovered the following morning by family & neighbors, Pierre’s skull was crushed and several bones in his face were broken. Representatives and the mortician of the funeral home said Pierre’s body was in the worst condition they had ever seen. It was worse than train wreck victims they had served.
While taking his last breaths, Pierre began convulsing. A neighbor who witnessed this savage beating is a nurse (who identified herself to police), offered potential lifesaving medical attention to Pierre but was ordered to go back inside her home or she would be arrested. This Nurse is afraid for her safety and refuses to make a public statement.
Another neighbor, a member of the armed forces (who identified himself) tried to come to Pierre’s assistance but was forced away and back in his home by four SAPD officers. He states this is the most savage attack he has ever seen and was far more vicious than anything he had seen on the frontlines in multiple tours in Iraq.
Mother repeatedly told officers she could mediate or diffuse the situation and she was ordered back into her home.
The street and all doors were sealed with crime tape so no one could come out and witness the cleanup or cover-up?
SAPD lead and influenced the witness’s statements.
At the funeral, the back side of Pierre’s head was missing because if could not be put back together. His ears leaked fluid, his right eye was approximately ¾” lower than the left, and the mass of flesh in the coffin did not resemble the once pleasant, happy, and loved by all man.
The Chief of Police of SAPD’s statements to the media were riddled with inaccuracies and untruths per documented accounts of the facts.
San Antonio’s mayor did not return my request for comment on the matter via e-mail.
Pierre Abernathy was not violent and had every right to fear for his life. Please don’t take my word for it, do some research.
