The Texas State Conference of NAACP Units will host its 74th Annual State Convention in Killeen at the beautiful Killeen Civic Center, Oct. 7th – 9th. I would like to take a moment to invite you and all your members to be a part of what promises to be a memorable and exciting event. This year’s theme is “One Nation, One Dream” is a carefully chosen theme that reflects our efforts in the areas of voter empowerment, educational excellence, economic development, equal employment opportunities, criminal justice reform, juvenile justice, accessible healthcare and other needed changes in our communities to bring us all together under the promises of American.
We look forward to seeing you in Killeen on October 7th, for our opening reception and film festival that will preview “For the Love of Liberty.” This film chronicle the brave enlisted men of color who were instrumental in preserving liberty for others while fighting for their freedom within the US military and America. We are inviting the communities of Killeen and Ft. Hood to be a part of this memorable red carpeted event.
